elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Mountain Wedding Photography | Red Rocks and Evergreen Lake House

April 1, 2017

As I was prepping the photos for today’s wedding preview I realized that the couple featured in the first wedding of the season this year has something very sweet in common with the last wedding couple I photographed last season. And that sweet something is a new baby to add to their families. I love photographing new families and it’s particularly adorable when it’s because mom and dad are getting married! This darling little baby boy shown quite a bit in the picture below is such a little lovebug. He’s mastered the art of waving goodbye and it was so hard to restrain myself from pinching those scrumptious little baby cheeks of his. And his mommy and daddy are such a good-looking and loving couple.

They were so lucky that their wedding day turned out to be beautiful since it’s always a weather risk when getting married in Colorado in the middle of March. It was so sunny and warm on the day of their wedding that I kept thinking I was photographing a summer wedding. They were married at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church in Lakewood and after the ceremony we headed out to capture some portraits at Red Rocks. Once we finished with those we headed on to the Evergreen Lake House where the reception took place. With friends and family at their side and incredibly nice weather it truly couldn’t have been a better day to get married! Congratulations to this delightful little family and here’s to a bright and happy future for them!

One of my favorites!
