elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado High School Senior Photography | Commons Park Downtown Denver

September 15, 2016

I knew that one day my job might start to make me feel a little old when past clients come back and their kids are grown. That’s exactly what happened when Arian’s mom contacted me about getting her senior pictures done this summer. I photographed her mother’s wedding way back in 2007 and she was just a sweet young flower girl then. She has grown to be such a beautiful young lady that I hardly recognized her. How could that time have gone by so fast? Desiree still looks the same which is totally unfair! Arian wanted to go to the Riverfront part of downtown Denver where the South Platte River separates Lodo from the Highlands. I love this area too because you can get a pretty nice variety of environments all within walking distance. We started by REI and wandered through Platte Street to get a more urban look before crossing the Highland Bridge to take advantage of Commons Park and the natural open space environment there. We finished over at the hill at Confluence Park completing the circle back to REI. Arian is incredibly photogenic and I had such a hard time narrowing down what to share on the blog. Check out the final choices below!
