elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Family Photos with Spring Blossoms | Clear Creek History Park in Golden

May 13, 2016

Photographing this super cute family with their four year old daughter and their super soft Australian Shepherd doggie was truly a lot of fun. We met at the Clear Creek History Park which is right next to the river in downtown Golden. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I seem to only get out to this location during fall or winter. But when I saw all of the spring flowers exploding and the lilacs in particular looking gorgeous at their peak I knew we wouldn’t be hurting for pretty backdrops. Their daughter was a riot and kept me on my toes with her spunky little attitude! Mom and dad have their hands full with her but I hope she stays that way and keeps them laughing as she grows older. She was everything that’s awesome about little girls! We walked all over the park checking out the wild bunnies and the chickens they keep in a coop there. Toward the end we walked across the bridge to get some pretty photos near the water. You’ll be able to tell from all of the photos below that I really hard a hard time trying to narrow down the pictures with this photogenic family in such a beautiful location. I’m a sucker for spring tree blossoms and I was pretty pumped that there were still some going strong here.

Head over to the FAMILIES area of my site for more information about getting your own family pictures created!
