elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Denver Family Photographer | Olde Town Arvada and McIlvoy Park

July 20, 2015

I have a special blog post for today. The reason it’s so special is that it features the adorable Robbie, who is the first son of an old friend of mine. Robbie’s momma, Kate and I go way back actually. She’s one of my oldest friends. We’ve been friends for so long that I can’t even remember the exact first time that we met. I suspect that it was band class in 6th grade at Sunset Middle School in Longmont, Colorado. Kate was a terrific french horn player while I played the clarinet badly, haha. We were even roommates for a couple of years during college while we both pursued art degrees here in the Denver area (mine in photography and hers in graphic design). I have a lot of friends who have children these days, but I have to admit that it’s a little more surreal when your oldest friends that you grew up with start having babies of their own! I loved photographing Robbie. He looks just like his daddy and gave me some pretty serious faces for most of our photoshoot. But, then he’d throw out a crazy look here and there and a couple of smiles as well to keep us on our toes. What a little lovebug! Isn’t that pout of his just so stinkin’ cute?

Can you believe that is the same baby?! Haha.

Head over to the FAMILIES area of my site for more information about getting your own family pictures created!
