elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Winter Anniversary Photos | Pug Dog at South Mesa Trail, Boulder

March 11, 2015

Kristin contacted me earlier this year to see if we might be able to get together for pictures with her husband, Manish and their adorable pug, Hoppy (short for Hopscotch) for photos to celebrate their first anniversary. They got married last year in Connecticut and never got engagement photos done so this was a great opportunity to get some engagement style pictures. She was specifically looking for something vivid and I think we were able to capture some incredible color even with it being winter and a ton of snow on the ground. And boy was there snow! Poor Manish accidentally stepped into a hidden puddle toward the beginning of our session but he was a champ and managed to last through the rest of the photoshoot. I’m so happy he was able to continue on because the mountains looked so pretty and blue at the South Mesa Trail near Boulder. And their outfits matched perfectly with the winter scenery. I love when my clients bring their furry family members to their sessions. Hoppy was such a little sweetheart. She trotted all through the heavy snow for most of the session and didn’t need to be carried until the very end. What a little lovebug she is! Congratulations to this great couple on their first year of marriage!

Check out THIS LINK and THIS LINK for other examples of winter sessions done at South Mesa Trail!
