elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Family Vacation Photographer | Garden of the Gods

October 9, 2014

I had the best time photographing these adorable kids featured on the blog today. Not only are they incredibly cute and photogenic, but they were just the sweetest too! They live in Arizona and were road-tripping their way through Colorado. They stopped and explored Mesa Verde the day before we met up for their photos and I’m sure they were just itching to get out of the car and run around. Good thing Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is the perfect place for stretching your legs. We wandered around the main pathway and the kids got to climb on the red rocks. We even saw multiple deer while we were out making pictures that day. Garden of the Gods is by far one of the most beautiful natural wonders in all of Colorado and in the fall it somehow turns even more pretty. I love the way the majestic red rocks stack up against the blue mountains with colorful desert plants growing everywhere. I’m glad that we were able to photograph the kids in front of a nice blue mountain backdrop which is what their mom was looking for. And I just love the contrast of their bright purple clothing against all of the red in the scenery too.
