elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Wedding at the Manor House in Littleton Colorado

July 12, 2013

Things have been busy this summer and I just wrapped up 3 weddings in a row over the July 4th holiday. First up is Meaghan & Scott’s lovely wedding at the Manor House in Littleton, CO. The very first thing I want to say about this wedding is that Scott’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was just THE BEST! As many people mentioned during the speeches, you can really tell that they are just so in love with one another and I turn into a total softie when I see a man look at his woman like she is the best thing he’s ever seen. To all you guys out there, you don’t always have to act so stoic. It’s nice to see a little emotion sometimes:)
This was my first time photographing at the Manor House as well and I was really excited for it because I love historic buildings and their gigantic wraparound porch is straight out of a Southern Gothic novel. Meaghan & Scott danced their first dance as a married couple out there on that porch before moving the party into the tent. Later in the evening Scott and his very talented bluegrass band, The Common Good entertained their guests with a few songs to wrap up their fantastic day.

My favorite:)

Those are Meaghan’s grandmother’s earrings. The kind where you have to screw them tighter for them to fit over your earlobe. Kind of like a vise. I’ve never seen earrings like that before!

There are so many old pictures and photos hanging all over the historic home.

Scott and his band, The Common Good, played a few songs for the guests at the end of the night. It was such a fun way to wrap up the festivities!

The guys get to hang out in the cool basement man cave. They started jamming a little to loosen up before the ceremony:)

The Bundt Shoppe Cakes made really cute centerpieces.

Be sure to check out the WEDDINGS area of my site to find pricing and other information about wedding photography.
