Alycia & John have the sweetest story of how they came to be a couple. I may have some of the details off, but this is the gist of it. (Alycia & John, please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong:) When they were kids they knew each other because both of their families had property in Lake George, Colorado. So they grew up seeing each other there. When they were teenagers, there was a forest fire that threatened Lake George and both of them came back to help their families evacuate and they noticed each other and started dating. For reasons that I am not aware, after high school they moved on and didn’t see each other for awhile. But then Alycia moved back to the area and when John found out he asked her to go see a Broncos game with him. Alycia assumed it would be a nice platonic activity to do together, but discovered that the spark was still there and they’ve been together ever since. I swear it could be the makings of a Reese Witherspoon rom-com!
They held their intimate wedding ceremony at the Flagstaff Sunrise Amphitheatre in Boulder and finished off the day at the Flagstaff House restaurant where they soaked in the love of their friends and relatives with a stunning view of the Boulder Valley in front of them. What a perfect day!
Alycia & John,
I hope you had some wonderful adventures out in Hawaii! Talk about a romantic place to spend time together. Can’t wait to see you again this weekend at the BBQ!

Alycia & John used the same cake knife that her parents used in 1980. They added their details on the back.
Technology can be so great. John’s brother was across the world in Okinawa Japan serving as a Marine and couldn’t physically be there. But this was a great way for him to still be there!
